Waterfront Woodturners Open 9:00am to 9:00pm daily The very best artistic woodturning in Cape Town Waterfront Woodturners. If you are in Cape Town, we'd love you to visit. We now have a small lathe at our new shop and will be demonstrating woodturning daily. The seven plus one turners The Waterfront Woodturners comprises a group of 8 well known South African turners. They are Steve Bull, Thys Carstens, Beyers Cronje, Izak Cronje, Gert Ferreira, Dennis Laidler, Bert Parker and Ken Turner. They are all members of the Western Cape Woodturning Association. Having diverse backgrounds, they each have a distinct artistic style as well as a wide range of marketing experiences. In January 2003, Izak decided the time had come to take the plunge and open an outlet at the current venue, one of Cape Town's prime tourist destinations. He invited the seven fellow members of the Association to join him in this venture. A large variety of artistic turnings have found their way into many homes and collections all over the world. Many overseas turners have spoken very highly of the quality of work produced. Most of the turnings are bought by discerning overseas visitors. However, one of the primary aims of Waterfront Woodturners is to increase the appreciation for artistic turning amongst the South African public. E-mail your comments to Contact details:
